Adv. Merav Israeli-Amarant is an accomplished attorney and entrepreneur with a diverse career focused on social impact, and legal advocacy. She co-founded the Dvora Institute and serves as the CEO of the Civil Commission, where she leverages her extensive experience in advocacy and representation of victims of sexual abuse, to drive the organization's mission.

Previously, Merav was the Vice President of Partnerships at Hilma, a unique social high-tech company in Israel that develops cutting-edge technology to address social needs and trains underrepresented populations to work in the high-tech industry. Her role involved forging strategic partnerships and leading resource development to enhance the company's impact and outreach.

Merav co-founded a biotech company specializing in recombinant proteins for research purposes. Prior to this venture, she provided commercial legal counsel to investors, showcasing her expertise in due diligence and legal matters.

At the Seligman law firm, Merav co-founded a legal department dedicated to supporting sexual assault victims through civil lawsuits. She also played a crucial role in initiating legislative amendments to the statute of limitations for sexual offenses, demonstrating her commitment to legal reform and victim advocacy. Additionally, she volunteered for over a decade at the Rape Crisis Center.

In addition to her legal and entrepreneurial endeavours, Merav has been actively involved in leadership and educational initiatives. She established leader empowerment programs and a scholar incubator for individuals in leading positions at Kolot Beit Midrash. For the past seven years, she has served as a board member at Her-Academy, a vocational school for women transitioning out of prostitution and abuse, further underscoring her dedication to social causes and empowerment.

Merav's multifaceted career reflects her passion for leveraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and law to create meaningful social impact and protect women’s rights.
